Tylenda, Richard R., Sr. 69 of Rutherford passed away on February 17,2012 ,surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Jersey City and lived in Rutherford for the past 20 years.
Richard was employed by Xerox as a Systems Engineer for over 40 years before retiring. He was a United States Navy veteran during the Cuban Missile crisis.
He was an usher at the Church of Saint Mary , a proud member of the Kip Center, a Guardsmen of Rutherford, a member of the Hackensack Canoe Club and an avid bowler.
Beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee Crofford) .Devoted father of Richard Jr., his wife Mary and Kaaren Tylenda. Loving grandfather of Rick and Rob and dear brother to Eugene Tylenda, his sister Lucy Tullio and his late brother Stanley Tylenda (1995). He will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Family will receive friends Monday 2:00 to 8:00 in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered Tuesday 10:15 in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.

Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.
