Obituary for Eleanore A. Suruda
Eleanore A., 85, Rutherford passed away Monday, October 10th, 2016. She was born in Bayonne to John and Mary Winiarski where she grew up before moving to Rutherford. Eleanore and her husband, the late Henry W. Suruda lived in Rutherford for over 50 years where they raised their daughter Judy.
Eleanore had been employed with Humphrey’s Hemopathic Pharmaceutical in East Rutherford as a Secretary for 8 years. She was a parishioner of the Church of Saint Mary and would present the gifts at the Offertory during 8am Mass on Sundays. She would say the Rosary for her family daily. Eleanore really enjoyed crossword puzzles and word jumbles. She loved to cook and was known for her meatloaf, “mush” affectionately name by her grandsons. She especially enjoyed spending time with all of her family . She was a wonderful grandmother who adored her 3 grandsons, she was ‘hands on” and very much involved in their lives.
Eleanore will be deeply missed by her loving daughter Judy Ruvo and husband Thomas, her 3 grandchildren, Christopher and wife Jessie, Michael, Thomas and 3- great grandchildren, Luke Thomas, Dillon Christopher and Michael Daniel.
Funeral on Friday 8:30am from the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford for 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, Rutherford.
Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, No. Arlington.
Family will receive friends Thursday 4-8pm
