Condolence: I am deeply sadden to hear of the passing of Mrs. Ersalesi. I was her former 2nd grade student. She has made such an impact on me that, at 27 years old, I still think about her. When my family moved from Rutherford to Lyndhurst, she still kept in touch and would make sure I was succeeding in school. She truly cared about the outcome of her students. She had a big heart and is really one of a kind, and I am soo fortunate to have known her. She will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family as they go through this difficult time.

Condolence: When we heard the news of Mrs. Ersalesi's passing I was deeply saddened and upset. My son, Nick had her for 2nd grade and although Reading was not his strongest subject Mrs. Ersalesi made reading fun and educational for my son. I will never forget her Mickey Mouse classroom or the smiles on the kids faces as she lit up the room each morning and really showed how much she cared for her students. Nick is now in 7th grade and is an avid reader because of her. She may be gone but not forgotten. We will miss you very much and I know that Heaven has opened it's gates to let a wonderful and talented Angel enter it's gates!♥ The Miller family

Condolence From: Julian & Evan Alvarez
Condolence: Mrs. E was Julian's second grade teacher and he thought the world of her. She taught him so much more than just the curriculum. Her integrity, dedication, work ethic, and love of reading were invaluable gifts that she gave Julian and every student lucky enough to have spent time with her. Our youngest son, Evan, was not in Mrs. E's class, but revered her none the less. He loved that she was a huge fan of Mickey & Minnie and commented on what a kind and caring teacher she was - what every teacher should aspire to be. Our entire family is so sad to lose Mrs. E so soon and our hearts are with her family and many, many friends.

Condolence: I was so shocked and saddened to learn that Betty is no longer here. I lived down the street from her and babysat Brian and Brad. I have such vivid memories of sitting on her front steps just hanging out with her on beautiful spring days. She taught me how to decorate cakes. She held a special place in my heart and the heart of many others I am sure. I am so sorry for your loss Buddy, Brian and Brad.

Condolence: Mrs.E was such a inspiration to all that knew her especailly her second grade students. My little granddaughter Jaelynn was her student this year. Jaelynn adored Mrs. E. Jaelynn struggled with math so Mrs. E would come in early and even stay after class to give her extra help. She was such a wonderful and caring teacher and was loved by all that knew her especially her students. She was also once my neighbor when I lived on Santiago Ave. Our hearts are all left with such an emptiness.
You were loved by so many and will be missed by all. May you rest in peace.
Sharon Delacruz & family (& Jaelynn)

Condolence From: Judy Gioia
Condolence: Our hearts are grieving. Our beautiful dear friend Betty may be gone, but never forgotten, and forever dearly missed. A sparkling Disney Queen, Betty brought grace, wisdom, kindness, and steadfast loyalty to her friends, colleagues, and her beloved Washington School students. We shared a tangible bond of solidarity, our dedication to our craft and students. Teaching was ingrained in the fiber of Betty's being. She taught not only to impart knowledge, but also encouraged each child to have good character and enjoy the journey of learning. In her classroom hard work intermingled with laughter and Mickey Mouse revelry. Uniquely Betty; highly respected, very much loved, and so very special, we will miss you deeply.
Lovingly, Judy Gioia
