Carmella, 72, formerly of Ridgefield, NJ & New Port Richey, Florida passed away June 29th, 2013.
Carmella was born to Gerard and Congetta (nee Citro) Cecere in Jersey City. She spent many years in Ridgefield raising her family before moving to New Port Richey, Florida with her husband Harold where they enjoyed much of their golden years together.
Carmella had been employed as a Console operator for the United States Postal Service in Jersey City for 16 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Wilds Social Club, the Postal Union and she was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader.
Carmella is survived by her devoted husband Harold of 55 years, her 5 children; Barbara and her husband James Whitehead of New Port Richey, Marie and her husband Anthony Lawlor of Rutherford, Harold W. Roberts and his wife Dorothy of Lake Grove, John Roberts of Ridgefield , Kenneth Roberts and his wife Nadia of Orlando and 12 beautiful grandchildren; Jennifer, Daniel, Harold, Corey, Isabella, , Carolyn, Cathryn, Jonathan, Alec, Candice, Karlin and Elise & her brother Louis Cecere.
Funeral 10:30AM Saturday Mass of Christian Liturgy in The Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Avenue, Rutherford.
Interment in Laurel Grove Cemetery , Totowa
Family will receive friends Thursday 2~ 4pm & 7~9pm and Friday 2~ 4 and 7~9pm.
