Loretta “Sally”, (nee Scott), 82, of Hawthorne, died in peace, November 27, 2013.

Sally was born on May 25, 1931 in Jersey City to Peter and Elizabeth (nee Leonard) Scott. She was a former nun of the Order of Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace located in Englewood Cliffs, where her duty was primarily as a grade school teacher in both California and throughout New Jersey. Upon her retirement from the Order, she continued to be a grade school teacher in South Jersey and retired in 1986 at the age of 55. Sally enjoyed traveling the world with her husband and spending time with her family and beloved cat Sammy.

She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Erb, (2011), her brother Peter Robert Scott, and is survived by her siblings Margaret Mudrick, Michael Scott, and Eileen Costigan. Sally leaves behind her 10 nieces and nephews, Peggy Schultz, Elizabeth Slone, Alice Allen, Joseph Scott, Michael Scott, Andrew Scott, Michael Costigan, Scott Costigan and the late Peter Scott and David Costigan. She is also survived by 14 grand nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th, from 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford, NJ. Funeral will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, 399 Hudson Terrace, Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632.
