Jean A.Tammes, (nee Specht) of Brick, formerly a resident of Rutherford for 50 yrs. passed away on Wednesday August 20th, 2014.
She was born in 1930 to E. Raymond and Evelyn Specht in Brooklyn NY.
Jean and her husband “Bud” owned and ran Tammes Hardware Store in Rutherford. Jean also ran the contract Post Office inside the hardware store in the early 60’s.
Jean is predeceased by her husband Oncko “Bud” Tammes, Jr. (2004). She will be missed by her children Bradley (“Brad”) Tammes and his wife Robin and Brenda Schwarz and her husband Kenneth, her grandchildren Jeffrey Tammes and his wife Michelle, Heather Schwarz, Brian Schwarz and Michael Cyprych, Holly Mackey and her husband Sean. She will also be missed by her great-grandchildren Lindsey, Victoria, Chelsea, Russell, Lyla and Sadie.

Family will receive friends and loved ones in Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford on Saturday from 8:30 to10:00am followed by Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst
