Obituary for Henry "Buddy" Ersalesi

Henry "Buddy" Ersalesi

Henry “Buddy”Ersalesi, 64, of Rutherford passed away on Sunday October 19th, 2014 with his sons by his side. He was born in 1949 to Henry and Genevieve (nee Smith) Ersalesi in Brooklyn, NY.

Buddy was a true renaissance man. He was a proud United States Air Force Veteran, a mechanic, the owner of gas and service stations, a Vice President of a national hospitality and hotel company, a fleet manager for a national building services company, a real estate agent in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and a salesman for Lawson Products.

Buddy was a lover of all things cars. If it had an engine, he knew everything about it. Over his lifetime, he restored over 100 cars with his favorites being a 1926 Model T Ford, a 1957 Chevrolet, a 1960 Jaguar, a series of Crosley cars, and a Dune Buggy he built with his son Brad. Buddy was a regular presence at car shows around the tri-state area.
Buddy is predeceased by the love of his life Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Brim) Ersalesi (2013).

He unconditionally loved and instilled a tireless work ethic into his children and grandchildren: his devoted sons Bradley & his fiancée Erin and Brian & his wife Jennifer; his grandchildren Henry, Charlotte and Abigail. He is also survived by his brother Anthony Ersalesi and wife Joan; his brother Joseph Ersalesi and wife Mary; and nieces
and nephews Jodi, Susan, Dani, Jamie, Jeff, Dennis, Eddie, and Ryan.

Family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday 7-9pm and Friday 2-4pm&7-9pm. in the Collins Calhoun Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
Funeral private.
