Obituary for Roberto Arias
Roberto Arias, 86, of North Arlington, formerly of Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, November 7th, 2017. Born to Jose Arias and Ezequiela Quintana in Havana, Cuba in 1931. Roberto entered the United States in 1966 and became a proud US citizen in 1975.
Roberto was a wireman for ITT Avionics for 15 years in Clifton. He enjoyed the music of Frank Sinatra, Frankie Valli and loved watching AMC classic movies with his sweetheart Rosy (as he referred to his wife). He was a big fan of “The Price is Right” and “Wheel of Fortune”. He loved Cuban food and always had to have his dessert “un postre” after his meals. He enjoyed playing dominoes with his family and for some unknown reason would always have the double blank, lol; we always wondered how in the world…..
Roberto will be deeply missed by his beloved wife “Rosy”, Angela Rosa Arias , whom he was married to for 60 years, along with his devoted daughters, Lisette Marrero, her husband Neil and youngest daughter Laurie Loyola. His daughters will always remember their Dad with much love and for being so funny and loving. Laurie even nicknamed him "Puki" when she was very young and she had called him “her Puki” ever since.
He also will be missed by his four beautiful granddaughters; Jessica, Lauren, Kristen and Desiree and his great granddaughter Avery. He is predeceased by his two brothers, Dr. Armando Arias, DDS and Jose Arias "Pepe".
A Memorial Mass will be announced at a later date.
