Obituary for Thomas Young

Thomas Young, 61, of Lyndhurst, passed away Wednesday, 10/26/16 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born to the late Christopher and Gertrude (nee Perrington) Young in Hoboken, NJ. Thomas had been employed with The Hudson News for 19 years. He was married to his wife Catherine (nee Marano) Young for 36 years, ( the owner of Varrelmann Bake Shop in Rutherford.)
Thomas was a Basketball Coach for over 25 years for Sacred Heart School in Lyndhurst, a Boy Scout Leader of Troup 86. He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys and also enjoyed fishing, camping and cars.
Thomas will be deeply missed by his beloved wife Catherine, his 3 devoted children, Melissa De Ruvo & husband Sergio, Thomas Young & wife Leigh-Ann & Christopher Young, his 6 grandchildren; Olivia De Ruvo, Mason Young, Brandon De Ruvo, Aiden Young, Dean De Ruvo & Aubrey Young . He was the youngest of 12 siblings.

Funeral will be held on Monday 10/31/16, gathering 9:30am in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford for 10:30am Prayer Service, followed by Interment in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
Family will receive friends Sunday 10/30/16 from 4 to 8 pm
