Rose Marie Bilek , 89, of Rutherford passed away Sunday, February 26th, 2017. She was born in Jersey City to August and Marie Durr. Rose Mary had been employed with the Town of Kearny in the Tax Collector’s Department for 30 years. She was an auxiliary volunteer with the Kearny Emergency Squad, an avid reader and known for her delicious fudge which she often shared with family & friends.
Rose Mary is predeceased by her husband Walter (1971). She will be deeply missed by her children; Mary Beth Cicero & husband David, Walter J. Bilek & wife Karen, her siblings; Barbara O’Malowicz & August Durr, Grandchildren; Kristen, Emily, Megan and Amanda.
Family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 &7-9 in the Calhoun- Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
Funeral Wednesday 8:30am from Funeral Home for 9:30am Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary followed by Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
