Deborah Ann O'Byrne
Deborah Ann O’Byrne, 61, of Rutherford, N.J., passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at The Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City after a long period of declining health. She was born in 1956 in The Bronx, New York, to Patrick J. and Mabel M. O’Byrne who both predeceased her and with whom she is now reunited.
She is survived by her sister Patricia Hyde, her brother-in-law Paul Hyde, and her niece Olivia Hyde of Hampton, NH; her cousin Barbara Dublanica, and Barbara’s husband John of Greentown, PA, their sons Stephen and Mark Dublanica and their families; and her maternal aunt Carmen Jauregui of Florida; and many loving cousins.
Debbie was a long time resident of Rutherford and a 1974 graduate of Rutherford High School. She was a Registered Dental Hygienist, graduating from the Dental Hygiene program of Bergen Community College in 1977. She worked in Dental Hygiene in NJ for many years and was an active member of the N.J. Dental Hygiene Association. She worked tirelessly planning meetings and serving to promote dental hygiene in schools. She particularly enjoyed working with her pediatric dental patients. Debbie enjoyed singing and was a lifelong New York Yankees fan.
Funeral services were private.
The family would like to extend its appreciation to all the doctors, caregivers, friends and social services staff who aided Debbie during her illness.
