Vivian Viola (nee Brog) George, passed away on August 10th, 2017 from heart complications. She was born to Clarence and Violet (nee VanTyle) January 14th, 1923. Raised in Rutherford and a graduate from Secretarial school, Vivian worked at Citibank and elsewhere in NYC. She married Ray R. George in 1949 and together they raised two daughters, Kathryn and Margaret with everyone being active in the Rutherford Congregational Church. After all the family moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland in 1972, Vivian attended Community College and worked with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and later the US Postal Service, completing her work as a Budget Analyst.
In her retirement, Vivian enjoyed researching family history as a member of DAR, flower gardening and assisting in the office of her new church, Grace United Methodist Church.
Vivian is predeceased by her daughter Margaret in 1972 (auto accident) and her husband Ray in 2005. She is survived by her daughter Kathryn.

Family and friends will be received on Monday August 28 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. Prayer Service 1:00pm followed by Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.
