Walter Johansen, 77, of Pine Beach formerly of Rutherford passed away Thursday September 13, 2018. Born to the late Thoralf Johansen & Margaret (nee Hanley) in Jersey City.

Walter worked for Johansen Book Bindery, which was a family owned business that started in Hoboken and sold in 2014. He resided in Rutherford for 36 years with his wife Beverly (nee Van Salisbury). Walter in his spare time loved sailing, camping, & hiking and bird watching.

Walter will be deeply missed by his wife Beverly. Walter is predeceased by his brother Richard (2015).

Graveside service Monday September 17, 2018 at 1:30pm in Hillside Cemetery, 742 Rutherford Ave., Lyndhurst NJ.
