Obituary for Jenny Vivirito

Jenny Vivirito
It is with great sadness that the family of Jenny Vivirito (nee Canon), 46, of Rutherford, NJ, announces her peaceful passing on Monday, December 31, 2018, after a long illness. Born on February 1, 1972, in Bogota, Colombia, she was a daughter of Martha Millan and Juan Jose Canon. In January 2000 she was united in marriage to Peter Vivirito.
Everyone who knew Jenny knew she was a kind, loving person who was devoted to her family. She had a serene demeanor but a determined resolve. She enjoyed watching soccer games, especially when her home country of Colombia was playing. She was always stylish and loved music —nothing could keep Jenny from dancing. She found strength in her collection of angels and her faith. Jenny’s gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, Peter, and parents, Martha and Juan, Jenny is survived by her cherished children, Carol Reilly (Frank), Lauren Vivirito and Joseph Vivirito; her dear sister Adriana Guidanian (Sam); aunts Luisa and Elizabeth; parents-in-law, Peter and Josephine Vivirito, and sister-in-law Patrice Murphy (Bill). Many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws also survive.

Family will welcome friends Sunday from 2-4pm & 7-9pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave., Rutherford.
Funeral Monday 10:30am Prayer Service in the funeral home. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
