Obituary for James Michael Naughton

James Michael, 98, a resident of Rutherford over 68 years, passed away Tuesday, September 8th, 2015. He was born in 1917 to Michael & Martha Naughton in Jersey City.
James proudly served in the US Army in WWII, 88th Division stationed in Italy in 1941 . He was the owner of CW Fricke Air Conditioning & Refrigeration in Rutherford. He was the former President of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Contractors Association of NY, former President of Rutherford All Sports Commission, served on the Rutherford Bd. of Recreation for 4 yrs.; 2 yrs as chairman, co-founder of the Rutherford Football League, served as a borough Councilman for 4 yrs.; I yr as Council President. James is a member of the Rutherford BPOE Lodge # 547 Elks, American Legion Post 109, Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce.
James is predeceased by his wife Ida “Dolly” (nee Luty) Naughton and son Dennis. He is survived by his son Michael & his wife Judy Naughton, Judy Lynn Chorbajian & husband Richard, Gerald Vogel & wife Sharon, 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral Saturday gathering11:45am for noon Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of Saint Mary, 91 Home Ave, Rutherford. Private cremation
Family will receive friends Friday 3 to 8 pm in the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Ave, Rutherford.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the drewodonoughuefund.org for Adrenal Cancer
