Obituary for Jean G. Linkowski
Jean G. Linkowski (nee Figiel) of No. Carolina formerly of Rutherford passed peacefully on November 27, 2019 at the age of 89. Jean was born in Poland and later became a lifelong resident of Rutherford.
She was an administrative assistant for an Accounting firm in NYC where she her first met her StanleyLinkowski, whom she trained for his job. They formed a personal relationship which blossomed in to a beautiful marriage later in life, in their 40's. Stanley passed away in 2003. Shortly after that, Jean moved No. Carolina near her nephew Paul and his wife Angie where she lived for the next twenty-five years.
Together, Jean and Stanley loved to travel. they visited Greece, her homeland of Poland and many other different parts around the world.
She was a member of the Polish Women’s Association and she also loved her Tea Group. Jean was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Church of St. Mary in Rutherford.
Jean will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews Paul and his wife Angie Figiel, Kathy Neal and her husband Brian, Barbara Figiel, Joe Figiel and great-nieces, Rachel and Clare. She is pre-deceased by her brother Joseph Figiel in 2008.
Friends are welcome Wednesday from 9am to 10:15am at the Calhoun-Mania Funeral Home, 19 Lincoln Avenue, Rutherford,
followed by 10:30am Funeral Mass of Christian Liturgy in the Church of St. Mary, 91 Home Ave, Rutherford.
Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, No. Arlington.
