The Road rose up to greet me

And lo my eyes did see

My Dad standing before me

With no infirmities.

Aside him stood my Mom,

Her blindness had been healed.

The serenity of Heaven

To them had been revealed.

They reached their hands out towards me,

Not expecting me so soon.

But God had called me home, like Dad,

On a lovely day in June.

I sing each day in Heaven now.

Worldly troubles cast aside,

In the loving arms of Jesus

In tranquility I abide.

So once you've shed your tears for me

Please remember just one thing:

This life is a brief gift to us;

Don't pass up the chance to sing.
